This past year has been one of changes…. Changes to the world, changes to our lives, and changes in my own personal and professional life…. Whenever change occurs, I try to view it as an opportunity to learn, to adjust, to modify certain aspects of life, and to welcome a wide range of experiences. I try to resist my tendency to attach a value to changes, and avoid labeling them as “good” or “bad”, because it seems to narrows our ability to flexibly adjust to the situation. Instead, I attempt to make sense of the situation, cope (accept, or change, or ‘wait and see' method), and integrate it to my life. Needless to say, this is not a simple process.

Several months ago I celebrated a round birthday. Even though I have yet to notice any physiological changes associated with this event, it has instigated for me a period of reflection, meaning making, and organization of my thoughts and of my life.

I would like to invite you to join me in this journey. The topic of change is particularly salient to me during this period of my life, and so I will mostly talk about intersections in life, relationships, life transitions, adaptations, and scenarios I have experienced that involve an aspect of change. I hope my posts will be valuable to you whether you are interested in these areas, if you are undergoing similar life experiences, or if you are just curious to learn how others perceive and make sense of life events. I also welcome you to share your thoughts and reflections on my posts, and hear about other areas you might be interested via email
